Tyrdrop.net is the personal site of Guy Cobb, a former Software Developer and Systems Administrator in the Louisville, KY area who is now a CS Ph.D. student in the Louisville, CO area. (Actually, CU Boulder. I just find the coincidence kind of funny)
I graduated from Indiana University Southeast in December 2006 with Bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science and Math, and received my Master’s in Computer Science at the University of Colorado in 2009. These days my focus is in the area of Scientific Computing and scalable numerical methods, as well as more general parallel processing. I set up the site mostly to help family members and friends keep up with how things are going with my exodus from southern Indiana into the dangerous lands of higher education, though I may from time to time include some technical information.
